As Louisiana continues to face a critical demand for qualified nurses, ����TV New Orleans is helping build the local pipeline of compassionate, skilled healthcare professionals. On Thursday, May 21, Herzing honored 11 nursing graduates at its Spring 2026 Pinning Ceremony at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center. The pinning ceremony is a time-honored tradition, a symbol of their commitment to patient care and the nursing profession. 

This spring’s class joins a growing community of ����TV graduates across Louisiana, many of whom remain in the state to live and work, helping to strengthen the local talent pipeline.

“Our graduates did more than complete their programs – they answered our state’s call for skilled, deeply committed healthcare professionals,” said Sarah Higgins, Regional Vice President of Operations – South at ����TV. “This milestone is the first step into a rewarding career serving their communities.”

“Herzing New Orleans is a community-based school,” said Shayla Morgan, a student graduating this semester, as she reflected on her time at Herzing. “It felt like a familial gathering place where it was easy to ask for help and receive resources that actually benefited students.”

����TV is proud to graduate approximately 800 new nurses this spring commencement season, adding to the total of 12,000 nurses who have graduated over its 60-year history. This milestone reinforces the university’s role in providing skilled healthcare professionals to meet the nation’s urgent demand. With 12 campuses nationwide and an accessible online division, Herzing is committed to serving nontraditional students and adult learners with more than 40 programs from diploma to doctorate level.
